In its fourth year of existence, The AP Tour continues to bring established and up and coming hardcore, punk and metal bands to mid-size venues around the country.

On April 23 The Associated Press Tour stopped at Ft. Lauderdale's Culture Room. At this stop, the ever evolving lineup consisted of Black Veil Brides, Versa Emerge, I See Stars, Conditions and D.R.U.G.S.

Perhaps the biggest draw of the night was the metalcore band out of Cincinnati, Ohio, Black Veil Brides. Together since 2006, the band is fresh off the release of their second studio album, Set the World on Fire. The title track off the album was planned to be used in Scream 4.

One of the headliners, Versa Emerge has seen a meteoric rise in popularity since they were featured on an episode of MTV's World of Jenks. The episode, which aired in October 2010, focused on the band's 19-year-old lead singer Sierra Kusterbeck's struggles with life on the road. The increased spotlight seemed to lead to some internal strife, and recently one of their founding members, drummer Anthony Martone, quit the band. Versa Emerge are looking to rebound with a strong tour showing off their newest drummer Chris Pollack. (Read about Martone's reasons for leaving and his new project HERE.)

OutLoud's own Ace Noguera was at the event taking some pretty awesome pictures.
