On May 25 the place to be was at Cruzan Amphitheatre as the Bamboozle Roadshow trucked down to Florida, bringing together the punks and scene kids to this highly anticipated festival. Two stages laid out perfectly for 12 bands that offered a diverse range of music that was bound to make this year’s road show amazing.
The show kicked off with Mercy Mercedes, who had an energetic pop rock sound, while The Downtown Fiction brought a new level of pop punk to their performance. It was filled with energy and passion as they rushed through the shortened set due to the downpour of rain.
The Ready Set captured the largest crowd yet they did nothing out of the ordinary. As expected they continued with their usual routine. On my way over to catch the start of the main stage, I was struck when I heard Great Big Planes and their acoustic set that was closing out the morning stage. It was a sweet blend between soothing guitar solos and harmonious vocals.
Taking advantage of the size of the stage, along with the strong love from the crowd, ATL brought it up a notch with their short set with a blend of hits from their 2005 Put Up or Shut Up to their most recent record, Nothing Personal.

Good Charlotte's Benji Madden, guitar and vocals
Forever The Sickest Kids took the main stage with a predictable set consisting of fan favorites that had the teenyboppers screaming during their entire set. While FTSK had the teenybopper’s attention Cartel grabbed everyone else along with the younger crowd. Blending together a mix of new material along with songs off 2005’s Chroma.
Good Charlotte came out with intense energy that gushed all over the stage. They sang plenty of their hits such as “Lifestyles of Rich and Famous” in which they performed with Alex from All Time Low and closed the set with.
All Time Low’s set was rather short due to technical difficulties, which was fixed by tethering Alex to an amp only a few feet from him while rest of the band was on wireless gear. This didn’t stop ATL from bringing the high energy and jokes to the stage though; it didn’t even faze them. Taking advantage of the size of the stage, along with the strong love from the crowd, ATL brought it up a notch with their short set with a blend of hits from their 2005 Put Up or Shut Up to their most recent record, Nothing Personal. They even brought out the Madden Brothers from Good Charlotte to play their closing song “Dear Maria” as Alex and Jack dove to the barricade.
Closing the night was Boys Like Girls who jumped right into their single “Love Drunk.” While the band had plenty of energy and musically sound just great but when it came to the vocals of Martin Johnson it fell flat. While Boys Like Girls couldn’t bring a perfect close to the night, the sets from Good Charlotte and All Time Low’s carried over to make Bamboozle Road Show 2010’s not a success nor a total disappointment.
