The Cheap Date Tour brought another sold-out show at the Culture Room and another group of rowdy fans all waiting for the security guards to let them in. After several failed attempts at creating a straight line outside the venue, the guards finally gave up on us and let us in right before nightfall.
Artist Vs Poet came out with a bang – literally. The first thing I heard was a loud thud on the drums, which made the entire crowd scream. That thud set the entire tone of their set. The band jumped around and got an amazing response from the fans especially when they played, "Lisa Marie" and "Runaway." After five or six songs, the set was over, and the stage was being stripped for the next band.
My Favorite Highway was up next. Even though they came out to a slow beat, they still had the entire crowd interacting with them and clapping. The band was very chill onstage for a majority of the set, as well as the audience who swayed back and forth for most of the show, especially during "Bigger than Love." They did, however, go crazy when they played, "Say So." Their set list wasn't much longer than the previous bands, but the fans still enjoyed it.

Sing it Loud followed with a completely energy-packed set, not giving up for one second. The audience ate up every moment of their set up, especially when they played "Come Around" and "Best Beating Heart." The entire band ran around the stage, not wasting even a second to breathe. The band even shared two new songs with the crowd, which the crowd really got into, regardless of the fact that no one knew the words. By the end of their set, there wasn't one person left who wasn't covered in sweat.
The Rocket Summer came out next, with an interesting twist on just simply walking out onto the stage. It consisted of singer Bryce Avery running around the stage playing all the different instruments, just having fun. The scenery behind the band consisted of lanterns with inspirational messages such as "Truth" and "Hope." The entire crowd was singing every word back to the band, especially when they played "Break It Out" and "So Much Love." By the end of their set, they had confetti all over the floor, and the fans begging for more.
Coming out to what sounded like a PA system calling the band to the principals’ office, the crowd traveled into FTSK High for their completely insane set list.

Last but certainly not least were headliners Forever the Sickest Kids. Coming out to what sounded like a PA system calling the band to the principals’ office, the crowd traveled into FTSK High for their completely insane set list. The band played new songs such as "She Likes" and ridiculously old songs like "Becky Starz," and the audience still knew every word. Between their drummer Kyle Burns almost jumping off the venues' balcony, singing happy birthday to the bands' tour manager Robbie, and lead singer Jonathan Cook getting stuck in the pit, it was the most entertaining set of the night.
In the end, the venue began to clear out, and the night drew to a close on what was one of the best concerts of the year. It was definitely a night to remember forever.
