For a Sunday night in Fort Lauderdale, Revolution had an amazing turn out at the Take Action Tour with headliners Cute Is What We Aim For. Even with a rare cold front in the air, tons of fans showed up to support the tour.

Fort Lauderdale was one of many stops of the Take Action Tour, which is raising funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action. The annual tour kicked off in Illinois and closes the curtain April 1 in Ohio. Take Action paired up with DoSomething.org to contribute a percentage of the ticket price and to help spread the message.

Anarbor was the first band to take the stage. Because it was Sunday night, it took a little extra effort on the audiences’ part to get into party mode. But for Anarbor, spreading the mood was easy. Even though I wasn’t familiar with any of their songs, it was so easy to just pick up on the beat, relax and get excited for what was next to come.

Right after a quick set change, Every Avenue jumped in and continue the party. With songs like "Where Were You, Think of You Later" and "A Story To Tell Your Friends" off their 2008 album Shh, Just Go With It, screaming girls and jumping feet were everywhere in the mosh pit. After their set, vocalist David Strauchman sneaked out from backstage where I was lucky to catch a quick conversation with him. He said he was having such a great time and was so absorbed in the show that he couldn’t even remember what city he was in or where the next stop was.

The next stop for Sunday's show was the duo of sisters Meg and Dia, who sang beautifully. Being a new fan of their music, I found myself singing along to a couple of their songs. Slowing the show down a couple heart beats, the band played a few acoustic songs, showing off their impressive vocals.

To get the crowd back on their feet, Breathe Carolina was the last set before the headlining band, and let me tell you, even with one of the members sick, they really put on a show. They incorporated lights and lasers, which had everyone awed and dancing.

Finally, after much anticipation from the fans, Cute Is What We Aim For took the stage to put the icing on a perfect night. Playing songs off their new album Rotation and a couple crowd favorites off Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch, their set was the climax of the show.

Although almost everyone in the crowd had to get up early the next morning, they could at least go to sleep with visions of guitarists and drummers dancing in their heads.
