Sunday is a day of rest, the end of the week and the beginning of the next. But when Attack Attack, Black Tide and Escape the Fate come to Ft. Lauderdale on a Sunday night, the day of the week doesn’t matter in the slightest. Every die-hard fan drops their plans and heads to the venue, ticket in hand.

Zakk Sander, bass for Black Tide
On just one of the many stops on the “This War Is Ours" tour, the Culture Room was sold out, packed from wall to wall. Escape the Fate headlined the tour, to promote their album of the same name. The excitement over the line-up took precedence over the fact that five or so people were seriously invading your personal space.
The lights dimmed as Attack Attack took the stage; moshing ensued. There was no escaping the pit unless you decided to get the worst view in the club. That was the immensity of this rhythmic hurricane of fans.
Attack Attack was just the appetizer for a crowd that wanted more and more.
Picking up the momentum left by Attack Attack, Black Tide opened with the angst-filled, fan favorite, "Shout." Menacing riffs coupled with the screams of front-man Gabriel Garcia echoed within the walls of the Culture Room. Black Tide has a unique quality to them; they all look like they’re still in high school, but sound like they’ve been playing for decades.

Craig Mabbitt, lead vocals for Escape the Fate
During Black Tide’s set the crowd stopped moshing for a moment, only to do the wall of death (the crowd spilt into two sides and ran into each other). It was completely mind-blowing and obviously painful but the music was so stirring that pain took a backseat to self-expression.
The band that made this whole tour possible, Escape the Fate, topped off the show with tracks from their latest CD This War Is Ours along with their signature song "Situations". Craig (lead vocals) had the audience mesmerized with his high energy and vocal stylings. It was the climatic moment of the night and a finale not to be rivaled.
