CHRIS BROWN
Dec. 26, 2007
BankAtlantic Center

The screaming fans and soldout concerts used to be owned by the greatest pop king alive, Michael Jackson…but today is a new day. Pop Prince Chris Brown, nicknamed "Chris Breezy," electrified the stage at the BankAtlantic Center, giving critics something less to criticize and mouthful more to appraise.
Moonwalking, pop-locking, flashing lights, screaming girls and ripped-off shirts are all too familiar to generations experiencing MJ and even R&B superstar Usher. Chris Breezy could’ve easily fallen into the category of his counterparts, but he’s risen to the challenge and brought his own unique style to game.

Speaking of game, that’s how this holiday concert begun. Acting ostentatious with a girl has its perks, but right before your headline concert? Don’t forget all your infamous haters that would like nothing but to see you mess up. So with the threat of his concert appearance being delayed or even ruined, the fight to escape his dangerous haters begun. After a few bullets were shot, classic chases through the dark alley, saving the damsel in distress and (last but not least) a roof chase, Chris Breezy finally arrived at his actual concert by shooting from the top of the stage to an arena of screaming fans.
Chris Breezy made the concert feel more like a cool hang-out with friends rather than your typical show.

Inventively, Chris Breezy kept his fans wanting more. Throughout the concert, he free styled randomly with his dance crew. He even battled himself with a previously-recorded on-screen version of himself. Breezy even traveled back in time and showcased a segment resembling the hit TV show Saved by the Bell, used for introducing his single "Yo, Excuse Me Miss."
Adding to the creative mix were two of the youngsters appearing in Chris Breezy’s music videos, showcasing their talents in their own segmented spotlights. Along with others of the talented dance crew, they made the concert feel more like a cool hang-out with friends rather than your typical show. Rihanna and T-Pain also appeared for the concert (digitally, of course). For the remix "Cinderella" and the first released single of the Chris Brown’s Exclusive album, "Kiss Kiss," the two appeared on digital screens to enhance the viewing experience. He also invited his opening acts Soulja Boy and Bow Wow to the stage.
The concert ended in the holiday spirit when Chris Breezy sung "This Christmas" which he appears and performs in the new movie, This Christmas. With Bow Wow still on stage, the two fare-welled the crowd and thanked the fans immensely. Chris Breezy ended with the note to parents apologizing for his behaviors throughout the concert which left the crown in a humorous mood. The Chris Breezy concert received two thumbs up solely for Brown’s performance and his imaginative approach to the concert-going experience.
