The band Into the Moat hopes to bring something new to hard rock music— a redefined sense of creativity and talent to the forefronts of metal. Ranging from neck snapping blast beats and time changes to catchy and brutal break downs, this tech metal group is definitely a stand out in the music scene.
Into the Moat was started in May 2001 in Ft. Lauderdale by the band’s drummer Matthew Gossman. He recorded each instrumental part on demo tracks and showed them to friends to complete the band. Into the Moat was eventually composed of musicians between the ages 18 and 19. Their style was then fully developed when bassist Kit Wray moved onto guitar and assumed the main songwriting responsibilities.
Into the Moat is now working on their live shows as they strive to reach their band’s point of ultimate success and achievement, and they’re sure to spark new life into the metal genre.
