Senses Fail
The Jersey boys are back and better then ever!
Warped Tour 2006

By Leah Pritchett

From the depths of the polluted vacant alleyways of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Senses Fail rises again. After six months of not touring, these alt-rock screamo boys have come back to rock this year's Warped Tour. Singer Buddy Nielsen kindly opened up to Outloud as to why they decided to tour on this year Warped.

"You know, we haven't toured for the past six months, and we were just home doing absolutely nothing besides making music, and honestly we needed the cash," Nielsen said, laughing. "So Warped Tour offered us to be a part of it and we we're totally for it. I mean the fans really missed us, and how could we ever turn them down?"

Aside from their stint on Warped Tour, for which they bought a bus with a shower to wash off the venue's muddy stench, the band is the process of recording a new album. Nielsen hopes this album will have a bigger impact than the first album, Let It Enfold You, which was produced by Steve Evetts, the same man who worked with fellow New Jersey rockers Saves The Day.

"You know what? This album is going to be intense just because it has more breakdowns and much more screaming, I mean we don't totally waste songs in screaming, but it's going to have a more hardcore vibe then anything," said Nielsen, who adds that Senses Fail's sound is influenced by bands like Jawbreaker and Jimmy Eat World.

"We are so passionate about this new album its going to be something new and we hope the fans will like it as much as the first album, and enjoy our new vibe and just, you know what? Love it."

You can catch Senses Fail on the rest of this summer Warped Tour, and don't forget to be on the lookout for their new album that will hopefully be out soon in a record store near you. For further information go and check out their official webpage http://www.sensesfail.com.
